From scrappy startups to 30-person design orgs, I’ve played a lot of roles—shaping product vision, prototyping new ideas, mentoring teammates, and building the systems that help teams scale.
As a (former) teacher turned designer, I move fluidly between hands-on execution and strategic leadership, often landing in the middle: coaching, storytelling, influencing and helping people uplevel along the way.
Lead Product Designer
Buildertrend, Remote, January 2022 — Present
SaaS platform for 23,000+ SMB residential construction companies. I lead design for the Materials business unit, creating Buildertrend Purchasing as a new service that connects builders and suppliers across the lifecycle of a home.
Transformed a struggling MVP into Buildertrend Purchasing’s first flagship feature, driving $1.15M in revenue/payouts, a 70% DAU lift, and 1,000% growth in supplier offer impressions by reframing strategy and aligning teams.
Redesigned Cashback & Discounts end-to-end (enrollment, activation, and payouts) reversing poor adoption; 56% of customers rated the experience easy or very easy 30 days post launch
Built the foundation for supplier onboarding and product data, cutting onboarding time by 75% through defined taxonomy, ingest processes, and workflows. Scaled to 22,000+ SKUs, powering AI receipt-matching.
Led the vision and research for Buildertrend’s global product catalog, turning an early concept into a tested roadmap with 35 builders and suppliers. Secured $250K in funding for foundational development toward a marketplace strategy

Built and shipped a unified design system in under 9 months, spanning 75+ components across design, Storybook, and code — integrated into new product releases and shaped the foundation for Buildertrend’s future system.
Cut task completion time by 73% in mobile Selections and Specifications by rethinking core navigation and workflows for builders in the field.

Senior User Experience Designer

SaaS marketplace connecting enterprise clients with on-demand contractors. Over 4 years, advanced from UX Designer to Senior UX Designer, leading redesigns of core workflows and building the foundation of Field Nation’s design system.
Led the launch of a new Flightboard, the platform’s mission-critical work management tool, sustaining 87% opt-in retention from beta to GA among enterprise providers managing hundreds of thousands of jobs weekly.
Established governance for the first design system, using standards and Storybook documentation to help 6 distributed teams across the US and Bangladesh ship faster with consistency.

Designed and launched SportsEngine’s first payments and invoicing system, enabling managers to bill families and collect online payments. Processed $100K in the first week, validating product-market fit and laying groundwork for SportsEngine’s PayFac strategy.
Established early UI patterns and IA across payments and scheduling tools, laying foundations for scalable design practices as the company grew.
